Sleep Study Day

Yep, I have a sleep study scheduled for 9:00 pm this evening. Ken was up early to catch his flight down to Houston.  He was up at 3:40.  I tried going back to sleep, but tossed and turned and got up at 4:15.  I was going to go back to bed, but I am not supposed to take a nap today.  Flap.... I feel like a zombie, probably look like one, too. I've got major bedhead which will have to be tamed before I see anyone today.

I get to bring my favorite pillow.  Yipeee!  They are going to attach upteen wires/eclectrodes(?) to me.  I get to sleep in a pretend bedroom while people watch me sleep, or not sleep all night.  Hopefully they will get useful information and they can find a way for me to sleep soundly.

I think I will have to go do my Old Duffer's Water Aerobics at the Y this morning.  I think that will help wake me up some.  I am still feeling the effects of my nightly cocktail of pharmaceuticals to help me sleep....

The swimsuit is on and I'm headin out the door.

I had a dream, once again, about our farm we had when I was growing up.  Maybe I will write down what I remember later.  I have had many of these dreams.... they are all similar in that The farm was sold, and I am trying how to figure out how to get it back.

  1. Ack! Hope you get some good results back from your Zzzzz Study. I wouldn't be able to sleep well in another place knowing I was being watched. That would kind of freak me out. I slept fine after my surgery though because I was on some good pharmaceuticals. :P So did you sleep any? Was it a good night? Hope they figure something out.

Hope the swimmin woke you up a bit too. I like your name on here as well...

Ahhhh, a repeating dream!!!! Innnteresting! I had a friend (who is now dead) who would sort of tell a person what a dream meant. I wish he was still alive. He was a psych professor of mine (later turned friend and mentor). He said that a repeating dream is something that your brain feels a need to really work on. Maybe there is a small part of you that would like to go back to those days of living on the farm... I dunno. I am not a good dream analyst but if I had to guess, I would say that is it. :P

  3. That's a LOT of wires! Dang! I bet you were purdy!! :) Hope it's all good news when you get the news from them.

Speakin of farms.... it was all because of FarmTown that I met you in the first place!!! Yay for farms!!!!!!! :) You hired me on there to go water your crops or flowers or something. That's kind of a neat way to become friends I think. *grin*
